Ha Ha maybe you know as much as my non-Jewish guy! Good for you! But this reminds me of a great story (well, I think it’s funny). We have good friends she’s a doctor, he’s a psychiatrist and they are both Sephardic Jews. One day he was showing me the photographs from his son’s Bar Mitzvah shindig and he was pointing out people: “oh, he’s Ashkenaze, Sephardic, Sephardic, Sephardic, Ashkenaze, psychiatrist, Sephardic… ” as if the Jews constituted 3 groups… Oh well.
This is definitely the kind of food I love to eat on Passover so thanks so much for the recipe! It’s really luscious!
This is a fascinating post! So much I wasn’t aware of. Plus, the chicken looks absolutely divine. Squirrel got a glimpse of your pictures and said, “Ooooh! Chicken nuggets!” Guess that means I’m going to be trying the recipe soon. 🙂
Yes, you did impress me with my knowledge of the Jewish religion and I have a great recipe for the Matzo in the pantry…now why did I buy it?
I’ve never used matzas Greg. Great crust on the chicken. Looks like a fabulous recipe for Passover.
Sam
Even with being Jewish, I still enjoyed reading your entry! We had a big seder last night with family, friends and plenty of food (including matzoh!). If time persists this year, I will definitely have to try your chicken cutlets! I did just get done eating Matzoh Brei…yum!
I’m back, cooking, reading, happy to see a great idea. I don’t think you crossed the line at all.
Who would’ve ever thought that was matzo? That crust looks quite crunchy.
Well said my friend.…. Lovely recipe!
i’ve never tried cooking with matzo before! but i can picture myself biting in that chicken and hearing the crunch. mmm!
The crust looks wonderfully golden and crispy. I want to try my hands on some matzo now!
I keep trying to leave a comment…not sure if it is going through?
Looks good over here, you are so talented, photo and food- I worship the creative idols in my house…
Pass me the salt and lemon, I have some Mexican to-kill-ya over here I want to use up…
Wow, that matzo really gives a great colored crust.
Trevor attended day care at a Jewish Center because we wanted him to see different cultures and religions. Then in first grade, he had his entire class believing he was Jewish and the teacher called us to make sure it was ok that they had a Christmas party “Since Trevor is our only Jewish student”. We laughed so hard.
Ken and I have the same ancestors — I am from New Mexico and it is a state rich with this history.….but no matzoh to be found…so while I am not a Jew I still feel Jew-ish.…
Great recipe for passover!
