A perfect Daiquiri is a deft balance of sweet rum and sour lime juice. It sounds simple but it takes practice.
serves 1

Ingredients
- 1 lime
- 2 ounce light rum
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- lime slices as garnish
Directions
Using your fingers squeeze about 1 oz lime juice directly into a shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add the rum and simple syrup. Cover and shake vigorously, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lime slice.
I made this weekend and they were so yummy. I was a little hesitant as I don’t always like the flavored vodkas. I used 360 Georgia Peach and they were fantastic.
That sounds so delicious and absolutely refreshing, Greg. Definitely need to make a batch or two!
Not a vodka fan?! We both love vodka. Totally a good one for infusing. It’s also nice with sweet fruits. Lose the fruit flies and have more cocktails!
I won a little contest for peach clafouti, but I’ll take this cocktail instead.
That sounds perfect! I love peaches, and I’m pretty fond of vodka too!
I’m adding that one to my list of drinks to make.
I’m not a huge fan of peaches or most stone fruit but do like them 1) grilled or 2) in a bbq sauce as you mentioned.
What a beautiful cocktail, just perfect for the summer season!
My best friend and I went to an orchard last weekend and picked a ton of peaches (and took some gorgeous photos). We came home and decided to make peach infused vodka!! This drink will be perfect for our homemade infused vodka that is ready to be drank today!! If it weren’t so early in the morning I would whip this drink right up!
can’t wait to try it. I hope it helps to erase the image I have in my head of Boehner in sandals…the horror.
Rainy season here in my place but it’s still refreshing for me..i would definitely try it in summer..
You had me at fresh peaches. This sounds perfect!
Peach is my favorite fruit. I don’t drink much, but I’ve been collecting different drinks to try. This one will be at the top of the list!
My usual peach drink go-to is the bellini but it’s kinda weird to be drinking one as you’re pregaming before going out on a Friday night. These are much more appropriate. And equally delicious.
Greg: me likey. I am living in Georgia, so I thought of this name for you “G.A.‘s peach” cocktail, aka Greg’s Awesome peach cocktail!!!
For me it would be nectarines with juice running down my arm. It could easily be a substitute in this cocktail.
greg i have been waiting for someone to do a boozy, peachy, tasteful peach drink. i had it in the back of my mind since late may.
i wanted to do a tea infused one. i had an ice pick once and it was fabulous. ice pick is a tea (plain no lemon) with really good vodka and a hint of rosewater. i liked it but thought there really should be a peach element. you know?
I’d give your version a gulp! GREG
