The Hickory Stick

Old forester bourbon, fernet branca, demerara, Curio Classico bitters, smoke, Vya dry vermouth, lemon. Smokey, subtlety sweet, a little bitter.

  • 1½ ounce old forester bourbon
  • ¼ ounce fernet branca
  • ¼ ounce curio classico ‘bitters’
  • ½ ounce antica sweet vermouth
  • ¼ ounce aya dry vermouth
  • ¼ ounce demerara
  • 7 drop liquid ‘smoke’
  • 1 lemon peel ‘chip’


Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain over 2 medium cubes into an chilled old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon chip.
