The Algonquin cocktail only has 3 simple ingredients in ratios that are easy to commit to memory. However, as Gaz Regan observed, “This is one of those drinks that call for precision pouring lest the drink get out of balance.”
- 2 ounce rye whiskey
- 1 ounce dry vermouth
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
Combine rye, vermouth and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker 2/3 filled with medium ice cubes. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. No garnish.
