This is my version of the classically sophisticated Manhattan. I use Calvados as an innovative partner to the traditional Bourbon. Apple Manhattan Cocktail.

Ingredients
- 2½ ounce rye, bourbon, or blended canadian whiskey
- 1 ounce calvados
- 2 dash bitters
Directions
Stir the liquid ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass and garnish with a wedge of crisp apple.
Love this turkey kabobs look forward to giving it a try, and anything on a grill to me gets bonus points.
That is exactly why I do cook dinner every night. It is therapeutic and always makes my crappy work days better.
Also, I have to laugh, because this is something I would expect to see on my blog, not yours! 🙂
If I said I never took short cuts! I’ve had these nights where I just have to get something on the table and I’ve done much worse than just using prepackaged meat:)
Now that my daughter has activities after school on some weekdays we don’t get home until it’s already time for dinner. This would be a great quick and easy meal to make and the kebabs look pretty yummy!
…the compromises we make for our children. Oh wait I don’t have any children! So what’s my excuse? Oh, right… traffic. GREG
Sounds like we had about the same day, construction on the highway and one woman merging into my car at the very last minute while talking on the phone made for one very mad sarah! Plus going to an interview for a job that has already been filled! ARGHHHH! I did however make a simple comfort dessert and post about it 🙂
The turkey kabobs look delicious and here’s to the upcoming weekend!
You are a Californian now, don’t say “highway”…say “freeway”. Now, say “San Andreas Fault”, but, don’t say “scared”, say “paradise”! Ahhh… GREG
what about the ones that shave or put on makeup in the morning — those drivers are worse than the after work drivers in my book! these kay-bobs look mighty mighty!
You wear make up, and shave? That’s my kinda man! GREG
