CookShow Interviews SippitySup

CookShowAbout a year ago we began the process of remodeling our kitchen. We started demo on December 18, 2007, in the pouring rain. Anyone who has been through major remodeling knows the crazy, wild ride we undertook.

This house was built in 1926. The kitchen was last remodeled in the 1940’s and had some really bad 1980’s updates. Nothing was salvageable. We took it down to the studs, we removed the floors and added and repaired the foundation on the entire east side of the house.

Needless to say, we could not cook in the kitchen during the process! In fact, we were without a kitchen until late May 2008! More than 6 months of construction! This does not even include the year of planning and design.

If you are wondering how I satisfied my cooking urges during this whole, long ordeal. Well, the answer is CookShow. I used to log on and wistfully watch “amateur” video of people all over the world cooking. It’s a great way to learn about food and culture, and it got me thinking. I can do that!

In fact, my blog would not exist save for the yarns I spun while enjoying the CookShow website. Now, coming full circle, the site that inspired my blog has done an online interview with me! I guess my silly little videos caught their attention.

Go to www.cookshow.com, or click on the image above and check it out. It’s in a section called Face Cook. You’ll see the picture of Chef Linguini from Ratatouille. Oh yeah, it’s a French site so click on the British Flag if you want to view it in English. Then look for the interview of me under the name jgreghenry.
