I started this blog because I love food. I love cooking. I love to learn new things (especially about food and cooking). I also believe I have a particular point of view. Some might say a strong point of view. Well, if you have a particular point of view (strong or otherwise), it makes sense that you might want to share your opinion. So that’s what I think I am doing here.
Still, I must be perfectly clear. I am not a chef. I have no training, no experience, no credentials. So if you are looking to learn how to cook, there are better places to go than this blog.
But, if you are like me, you love food and cooking, and love hearing (and seeing) how other people might do things. Then I think you will have some fun here.
I hope to include other points of views as well. I’d love to expand to include wine (I have a lot to learn about wine still). I’d love to have guest directors. Guest cooks (or maybe even guest CHEFS!). It would be great to travel to other kitchens. Other cities. Other countries. There is a wide world of experience out there, and I am open to all of it!
Nevertheless I want you to remember that the key element is fun. I will try to keep it light. Which does not mean I won’t be passing along the best information I can. It just means that the tone may be lighter than you’ve seen before. Some of the information may even be handled humorously. And always, I am absolutely assuming that you are an intelligent person who knows a few things about cooking as well as the world. So, sometimes a few “steps” might be glossed over. But, with a little common sense and some resourcefulness on your part, I think we’ll get along just fine.
