As I mentioned earlier today, It's sweeps week.

For KCRW, my local member supported (much beloved) radio station that means it's pledge drive time.

Do not groan at me. This station is important. What they are doing is important. Commercial radio cannot sustain the kind of programming you and I require.  Besides, to them "sweeps" means "sweepstakes". To you that means PRIZES. I know you know that word.

Now more than ever this station needs our support.  And I am talking to you Kentucky, and Baltimore, I see you over there in Berlin and Brisbane. Even you, my family out in Florida.

I am talking to all of you. Because if you like, and read, and watch SippitySup, then you will love Evan Kleiman and Good Food. She's way smarter than me. My good cheek bones only get me so far in the blogging world. She has actual substance.

My BF and I are ANGELS. Our renewal time is end of year, so my contribution right now is to get you to pay attention.

You can podcast her show. Many of you probably already do. I have certainly encouraged you to do just that before now. I doubt my entreaties have fallen on deaf ears. No, I can tell from the ranty emails I get that at least some of you are listening to me. So listen now.
