Rum Runners were invented in the late 1950’s at the Holiday Isle Tiki Bar in Islamorada, Florida. The drink was named after the real “Rum Runners” that inhabited the Florida Keys in the early days.
Ingredients
- 2 ounce orange juice
- 2 ounce pineapple juice
- 2 ounce light rum
- .75 ounce blackberry brandy
- .75 ounce banana liqueur
- 1 teaspoon grenadine
- ice cubes
- 1 ounce dark rum
Directions
Pour all liquids except dark rum into a large glass. Fill the the glass with ice cubes and stir vigorously. Float the dark rum on top and stir gently.
